AWBD Parks Event – Public Engagement for Parks
The Association of Water Board Directors hosts a monthly Parks Committee meeting to bring fresh content regarding recreational facilities developed by MUDs and other special purpose districts.
This month, Triton's own Simon Vandyk will be presenting to Houston area AWBD members at the Parks Committee meeting on Friday, June 1st. Simon will be presenting strategies and best practices for community awareness and engagement for districts when developing recreational facilities, such as parks.
As a quick heads up to those interested, the title of the presentation has changed since the AWBD publication went to print; it will now be titled:
"From Needs to Seeds: Strategies to engage your community on past, present, and future park projects"
After gathering feedback from a number of MUD directors and consultants, the content will be centered around discussing how to educate residents on who and how your park/project was funded–but this discussion will also be diving into few similar areas that were determined to be quite interesting.
This event is, however, open to members of AWBD only. For those who are members you may register for this event here.
